As true millennials do, we met on a dating app- but it wasn’t smooth sailing right away, since Kelcie accidentally took two weeks to respond to Stephen's initial message. Whoops!
On our first date, Stephen was thrown right into the gauntlet when he met one of Kelcie’s mom’s best friends within the first five minutes of being seated at Bar Sienna. Then, he witnessed the flood of texts from Kelcie’s mom's posse asking for updates and wishing her good luck because "he’s so cute!!" To top it off, every table around us on the patio was commenting on how it looked like we were on a first date.
Our second date, however, was when the Stephen DeCarlo charm truly shined through- he planned a perfect date just for Kelcie. Kelcie had just gotten a pink bike for her birthday, and on their first date, she casually mentioned that rosé was her favorite and that she loved ordering the kids' quesadillas from Chipotle (because they come in cute to-go boxes, with room for three different sides, and of course, a mini chip bag). So, what does Stephen do for their second date? An adorable bike ride along the lakefront, with a stop by the beach for a picnic that included rosé and Chipotle kids' quesadillas.
From there, the dates just kept coming- and so did the comments and nudges from strangers on every. single. date. telling us we were going to get married.
We’re so excited to celebrate our fate- sealed by strangers' predictions that we’d get married- and to finally tie the knot on Kelcie’s favorite holiday, Valentine’s Day. We can’t wait to share this next chapter of our lives with you.
